Hendrix's Legacy Lives On in the Big Apple

In a ceremony that celebrated guitar great Jimi Hendrix's enduring impact, West 8th Street was officially renamed 'Jimi Hendrix Way' in New York City's Greenwich Village. The move marks more than five decades since Hendrix opened Electric Lady Studios, a recording facility that has hosted some of the biggest names in music. The street co-naming ceremony saw speeches from producer engineer Eddie Kramer and council member Harvey Epstein, who praised Hendrix's innovative spirit and lasting influence on popular music.
