Emo's Legacy Ends with Its Own Closure

A former SXSW mainstay, Emo’s East is closing its doors after a documentary series kicked off in Austin. The project A Curious Mix of People brings together music historians to create an oral history of 90s Austin through the stories of key figures. Their film series has so far covered punk club Red River, record label Matador, and now Emo’s East itself.
