Evil Island: The Unholy Union of Fugazi's Guy Picciotto
Fugazi's Guy Picciotto joins Johnny Whitney, Cody Votolato, and Mark Gajadhar in a genre-bending post-hardcore experiment

Terror, distortion, and the unbridled intensity of Evil Island's debut single 'Animal' - a sonic Molotov cocktail that's equal parts Fugazi, The Blood Brothers, and OFF!'s chaotic energy. Produced by Ross Robinson, the album promises to be a genre-bending experience, with contributions from the likes of Alexis Krauss of Sleigh Bells and Michael Gatto of XCOMM.
The news comes as no surprise, given the individual talents involved - Johnny Whitney, Cody Votolato, and Mark Gajadhar's work in The Blood Brothers and OFF!, respectively. But it's the inclusion of Fugazi's Guy Picciotto on the album that really gets the blood pumping. For the first time since 2001's The Argument, Picciotto is trading in his guitar for vocals, and it's a move that could potentially redefine the sound of modern post-hardcore.
Terraform the Afterlife drops August 14 via Blowed Out Records. With its blend of punk, metal, and experimental rock, Evil Island's debut album promises to be an unforgettable experience. Will they live up to the hype?
