M.I.A. claimed she wasn't even informed about being dropped from Kid Cudi's tour until it was too late, and that he knew her reputation before inviting her on.

The British singer and rapper alleged that Cudi had told her she could say whatever she wanted on stage, but didn't follow through when the backlash began. M.I.A. also claimed that Cudi's team sent her a cease-and-desist letter demanding she stop making negative comments about him.
